RS Departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs work at an emergency mode on the roads of the Republic of Armenia

By the order of the Director of RS - Deputy Minister of IA Kamo Tsutsulyan, the departments of the MIA Rescue Service have switched to the strengthened service mode due to weather conditions from December 12.
Patrolling had been established on several interstate and community roads of the Republic. Due to heavy snowfall, blizzard and black ice on the roads, the rescuers implement the activity around the clock to assist stranded drivers and passengers and to ensure their safety on the spot. Temporary primary aid support points have been set in the most challenging areas of Syunik and Vayots Dzor provinces.
On December 12, from 17:00 emergency calls were received to the Regional Crisis Management Centers of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that vehicles had been stuck due to heavy snowfall.
As a result of duty and patrolling conducted by Rescue Service departments on the roads of the Republic and at primary aid support points, stuck 105 vehicles were pulled out and 230 citizens were provided with appropriate assistance.
The Rescue Service personnel are ready to carry out their assigned tasks.
