On February 11, the emergency calls were received to Vayots Dzor Crisis Management Center that rockfall had occurred on Yerevan-Meghri roadway.

The operative group from the Fire and Rescue Squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA was dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that the rockfalls occurred on the 122nd and 112th km of Yerevan-Meghri roadway. The traffic flow was restored.

As a result of the rockfalls, “VAZ” and “Toyota” cars  were damaged. There were no casualties.

The rescuers blocked off the scene and used special equipment to remove the fallen rocks from the road. Traffic flow was restored.
