On April 16, at 18:47 an emergency call was received at the Vayots Dzor Regional Operational Management Center reporting that a rockfall had occurred on the road leading from the M-2 highway to Jermuk city.

The operative group from the Fire and Rescue Squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA was dispatched to the scene. 

It was established that a rockfall (approximately 9 cubic meters) had occurred at the 2nd km of the road leading from the M-2 highway to Jermuk city resulting in one-way traffic on the highway.

As a result of clearance works carried out by RMC employees, two-way traffic has been restored.

Rescuers remained on duty at the scene.
