Some roads are closed in the Republic of Armenia

The Rescue Service informs that some roads are closed in the Republic of Armenia.

The roads leading from “Amberd” high mountain meteorological station to Lake Kari and Amberd fortress in Aragatsotn province are closed.

Gndevaz-Jermuk roadway (snowstorm) is closed for all types of vehicles.

Vardenyats pass (snowstorm, snow), Spitak, Dilijan passes the roadways from Jermuk crossroad to Jermuk and Sisian towns, Noyemberyan-Jujevan and Noravan-Kapan, the Yeraskh-Zangakatun section of the Tigranashen pass are closed for vehicles with trailers, difficult to pass for other types of vehicles.

The roadways Vanadzor-Dilijan and Vanadzor-Alaverdi are closed for vehicles with trailers.

Stepanavan pass, Berd-Chambarak roadway and the sections from M-4 highway to Haghartsin and Parz lake are difficult to pass for all types of vehicles.

Black-ice is formed on the roadways of Kotayk province, Aparan, Aragats (blizzard), Dilijan, Sevan, Chambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Sisian, Goris, Ashotsk and Amasia regions.

It is snowing in Syunik (except for Meghri and Agarak towns), Ararat, Tavush, Armavir and Lori provinces, Ani, Aragats regions.

There is a blizzard in the section called Saravan-"Zanger" and Jermuk town.

We urge drivers to drive exclusively on winter tires.
