Some roads are closed in the Republic of Armenia

The Rescue Service informs that some roads are closed in the Republic of Armenia.

The roads leading from “Amberd” high mountain meteorological station to Lake Kari and Amberd fortress in Aragatsotn province are closed.

The roadways section from Noravan crossroad to Goris and Tatev, Tatev-Shinuhayr-Goris are closed for all types of vehicles.

Ttujur-Navur and Tashir-Blagodarnoye roadway (snowstorm)  are closed for all types of vehicles.

The road section from Jermuk crossroad to Kapan are closed for vehicles with trailers.

Vardenyats Pass is difficult to pass for vehicles with trailers (only when using chains).

Black-ice is formed on the roadways of Aparan, Aragats, Sevan, Chambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Sisian, Goris, Ashotsk, Amasia and Dilijan regions.

Blizzard is observed on the roads of Aragats, Tashir regions and Chambarak Pass.

We urge drivers to drive exclusively on winter tires.
