On December 1, at 17:31 an emergency call was received to Aragatsotn Regional Crisis Management Center that two members of a three-person expedition team had been fallen from a slope and injured in the Gegharot Waterfall area: the rescuers’ help was needed.

One fire unit and the operative groups from the Fire and Rescue Squads of Yerevan Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

The rescuers alongside mountaineers found H. Kh. (born 1998), A. T. (born 1998) and L. H. (born 1995). The latter two had injuries of varying degrees and signs of frostbite.

The citizens were transported by snowmobile and moved to the ambulance.

20 firefighters and rescuers, 5 mountaineers from the Armenian Federation of Alpinism and Mountain Tourism were involved in the search and rescue operations.
