On July 5, from 16:27 the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RA received a number of emergency calls about damages due to the strong winds.

Information was received from Armavir and Vayots Dzor provinces, as well as several administrative districts of Yerevan city about tilted and fallen trees and poles, as well as damage to building roofs.

The relevant units of the Rescue Service promptly responded to all cases.

In particular, rescue operations were conducted in Jermuk townof Vayots Dzor province, Norapat village in Armavir province and on Khanjyan, Kurghinyan, Yeghbayrutyan, Israelian, Shahumyan, Agatangeghos, Charents, Hasratyan, Andranik, Shahumyan 7th, Saritagh 9th Streets, as well as on Sayat-Nova, Arshakunyats, and Baghramyan Avenues of Yerevan city.

The operations included cutting and removing fallen and broken trees, securing the affected areas, dismantling and reinforcing torn roofing sheets at the scene.
