Rescuers responded promptly to fires that broke out in grasslands
Between July 18 and 30, the Crisis Management Centers of the Regional Rescue Departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Rescue Service received multiple alerts regarding fires that had broken out in grassland and vegetated areas, each covering around 10 hectares or more. These incidents occurred particularly in the following locations: Movses, Nerkin Karmiraghbyur, Azatamut of Tavush, Arzakan, Garni, Zovuni of Kotayk, Tavros of Syunik and Chiva of Vayots Dzor provinces.
The firefighter-rescue units of the Regional Rescue Departments carried out large-scale, coordinated, and effective firefighting activities, responding swiftly to every alert. As a result, the fires were successfully contained and fully extinguished in a short period of time.
Thanks to the actions of the firefighter-rescuers, the spread of the fires to adjacent areas was prevented.
Representatives of the Police Patrol, Eco-Patrol Services, and local citizens also participated in the firefighting activities.
Given the high fire risk currently prevailing in the country, the Rescue Service once again urges the public to exercise maximum caution, strictly follow fire safety rules, and refrain from lighting campfires in unauthorized areas, especially in forest-adjacent zones and recreational areas.
Everyone can become a guardian of nature by demonstrating a responsible attitude toward the environment.
