Rescuers removed the boulders restoring the traffic flow
On April 9, at 19։06 an emergency call was received to Lori Regional Operative Management Center that rockfall had occurred near the tunnel on Spitak-Gyumri roadway, as a result the large pieces of rock appeared on the railway.
The operative group and one fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.
It turned out that the rockfall occurred at the 4th km of Spitak-Gyumri railway: traffic flow was temporarily suspended.
The rescuers and railway employees (with the help of a railway crane) removed the boulders (about 3.5 cubic meters in total) and traffic flow was restored.
