On July 13, emergency calls were received to Yerevan and Kotayk Regional Crisis Management Centers of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs wildfires in grasslands. Fires were reported not only within Yerevan city but also in surrounding areas, particularly at the 18th km of the Yerevan-Sevan roadway and within the administrative territories of Akunk and Arzni villages in Kotayk Province.

Firefighters responded promptly to all emergency calls, immediately launching large-scale firefighting activities. Fire and rescue squads from both Yerevan and Kotayk Regional Rescue Departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were involved. Thanks to their joint, coordinated, and effective efforts, the fire outbreaks were quickly localized and fully extinguished.

Due to the swift activities of the firefighters, the spread of the fires to nearby areas—including residential zones and forested regions—was successfully prevented.

Given the current high fire risk across the country, the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs once again urges the public to remain vigilant, strictly follow fire safety regulations, and avoid any use of open flames in outdoor areas—especially near forests and recreational zones.
