Rescuers' operative activities in Syunik province during severe blizzard conditions

On January 22, at 07։23 an emergency call was received to Syunik Regional Crisis Management Center that car had gotten stuck in the snow due to a blizzard near the crossroads of Shinuhayr village. The rescuers’ help was needed.

The operative groups from the Fire and Rescue Squad and the Regional Rescue Department, four fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squads and Shinuhayr Emergency Point of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA was dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that more than a hundred vehicles were stuck in the traffic jam.

As a result of operational and intensive activities, from 08:30 to 00:20 on January 23, the rescuers pulled stuck 34 trucks out, 311 passenger cars and provided appropriate assistance to 1086 citizens.

The rescuers were constantly on duty on the specified roadway due to the specifics of the location, monitoring the operational situation and providing assistance to stuck citizens.
