On July 18, at 22:20 an emergency call was received to Crisis Management National Center that a fire had broken out at one of the food outlets near the "Sasuntsi Davit" railway station in Yerevan city.

Two fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Yerevan Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that fire broke out at a fast food joint (about 30 square meters).

The fire was localized at 22:36 and extinguished at 22:42. At the food outlet, gas leaking from a 20-kg gas cylinder caught fire, burning approximately 20 square meters of the area along with furniture and equipment. Another section of about 10 square meters was heat-damaged. Gas also leaked from a second 20-kg gas cylinder.

The rescuers closed the gas valves of two cylinders.
