On April 10, at 08։18 an emergency call was received to Lori Regional Operative Management Center that rockfall had occurred near the entrance to the 3rd tunnel of Vanadzor-Alaverdi interstate highway.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene. 

It turned out that about 10 cubic meters of rock was spilled over an area of about 30 square meters. The roadway was one-way closed.

The rescuers blocked off the scene and implemented clean up activities of the road. The traffic flow was restored.
