On February 9, at 08:42 an emergency call was received to Shirak Regional Crisis Management Center that smoke had been noticed from the roof of the sports school on Isahakyan Street in Gyumri town.

Four fire units and one water tanker from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that the fire broke out on the roof of the sports complex (about 700 square meters).

The fire was localized at 11:30 and extinguished at 12:26. About 300 square meters of the wooden roof constructions were burnt, about 150 square meters of the wooden ceiling and about 100 square meters of the wooden constructions were damaged.

The rescuers carried out demolition activity.
