On September 21, at 13:46 an emergency call was received to Tavush Regional Crisis Management Center that 7 members of the expedition had been stung by wasps in the "Lastiver" recreation area: the ambulance unable to reach the casualties due to the impassability of the road. The rescuers’ help was needed.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene. 

The rescuers moved the 23 members of the expedition by car to the ambulance (about 20 km). 7 hikers (H.U., N.S., S.S., A.S., A.G., S.G. and M.H.) were hospitalized in Ijevan Medical Center.
