Rescue Service units summarize the activities in August
In August 2025, various measures were implemented by the units subordinate to the Rescue Service of the RA MIA, aimed at increasing the level of preparedness of the population, developing the effective response capabilities of interested bodies, as well as strengthening interdepartmental cooperation.
The training sessions and awareness-raising events on "Evacuation of personnel and children in case of fire", "First aid in emergency situations", "Code of conduct and warning sirens during and after floods", "Damage from burning grass in fields and gardens and the importance of its prevention", "Fire safety rules" were held at various facilities.
The special tactical exercises were simultaneously conducted in preschool educational institutions, fire and explosion hazardous and production facilities on the protection of staff and students in case of an earthquake, as well as the organization and implementation of fire extinguishing and evacuation operations. The topics of other special tactical exercises related to the extinguishing of a fire due to an oil tank leak in a boiler-turbine workshop, as well as the processes of carrying out emergency recovery operations in the event of an accident in a gas pipeline.
Within the framework of special tactical exercises, reference was also made to the implementation of firefighting operations in the event of large wildfires.
A number of headquarters exercises were conducted dedicated to the organization and implementation of large-scale fire extinguishing operations in forest and other vegetation-covered areas, the organization of population protection measures during the transition of the civil defense system from peace to war, the organization of population protection measures in case of a strong earthquake and landslide activation, as well as the organization of the reception and livelihoods of the evacuated population.
Within the framework of the monthly events, Yerevan and Regional Rescue Departments also organized and conducted object-based training exercises on topics related to the implementation of civil defense measures in case of a transition from peace to war, increasing the preparedness of healthcare institutions and organizing the protection of staff and visitors in case of an earthquake.
The implemented events included both theoretical and practical components, contributing to raising the level of awareness of the population, strengthening cooperation between state and local structures, as well as improving the capabilities of a coordinated and effective response to emergency situations.
