Rescue Service units of MIA continue large-scale public awareness activities aimed at fire prevention measures

In accordance with the instructions of the Director of RS-Deputy Minister of IA Kamo Tsutsulyan, measures aimed at monitoring possible fire-hazardous situations in forests and vegetated areas, preventing fires, rapid response, combating fires, their spread, as well as eliminating their results are continuing.

As of August 12, 2,882 rescuers were involved in the awareness-raising process throughout the Republic.

The Rescue service employees conducted awareness-raising activities at 6,275 facilities, public places and forest-adjacent areas in the capital and regions using loudspeakers and drones.

10,384 posters were posted and 4,026 flyers were distributed in crowded places regarding fire safety rules.

Simultaneously, 322 fire units were on duty in designated areas to quickly respond to possible fires in public recreation areas and forest-adjacent areas, mainly with the involvement of all-terrain vehicles.

With the joint efforts of rescuers and eco-patrol representative, the fire situation was monitored in forested and vegetated areas.

The Rescue Service pays great attention to the comprehensive measures implemented to prevent possible fire-hazardous situations in the Republic, therefore it urges you to observe fire safety rules and immediately call 911 in case of any situation that poses a fire risk.
