On October 31, a special tactical demonstration exercise on “Organization and implementation of fire extinguishing in forests and specially protected areas with the involvement of a helicopter” was held on the territory of the “Hrazdan Forestry” branch of “Hayantar” SNCO in Meghradzor settlement of Kotayk province. The exercise was observed by the Director of RS - Deputy Minister of IA Kamo Tsutsulyan and heads of partner organizations.

According to the exercise scenario, the fire had broken out in the forest area which spread and reached a semi-constructed building on the mountain slope. There were simulated casualties with burns and physical injuries of varying degrees.

Various scenario-based situations were simulated, an appropriate response was organized, reconnaissance was conducted using UAVs and firefighting, evacuation of simulated casualties from smoke-filled zones, first aid and psychological assistance operations were conducted.

The Rescue Service personnel and patrol service units of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, employees of “Hayantar” SNCO, eco-patrols and the volunteer fire and rescue groups of Meghrasdzor participated in the exercise.

At the end of the exercise, the completed activity was summarized, existing issues were identified and appropriate instructions were given for their correction.
