March 13 • 07:18, 2025

Fires as a challenge threatening the biosecurity of the environment are often the result of human carelessness.

Often, people, unaware of the negative consequences, carry out agricultural activities in the spring season, burning stubble and plant residues.

Arbitrary burning, which people often resort to in order to rid the land of plant residues, can lead to loss of soil quality, destruction of wildlife and air pollution, causing great damage to the environment.

The Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs recommends that strictly observe fire safety rules, refrain from burning stubble, preserving the biodiversity of the environment during agricultural activities and in case of a fire or smoke, call 911.
