The Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs consistently implements programs and initiatives aimed at increasing the level of awareness and preparedness of the population in emergency situations. In this context, the Service specialists were conducted training sessions, practical exercises and information events in all provinces of the Republic.

Priority was given in particular to activities with pupils and staff of educational institutions: schools, kindergartens and vocational schools.

Special attention was paid to teaching "Rules of conduct during and after floods", "Warning sirens", "Rules of conduct in case of an earthquake" and "Fire safety" topics. Lectures were organized on the dangers of burning dry grass in fields and gardens.

The special tactical exercises were also conducted, including simulations of earthquake collapses, fires and evacuations. The table-top exercises were conducted for disaster recovery operations, forest firefighting and possible reservoir dam collapses.

The rescue service also cooperates with regional and community administrations and other organizations.
Professional seminars and training sessions were also held for rescuers on firefighting management, rescue operations in case of road traffic accidents and improving technical skills.
In addition, practical exercises were organized in communities to implement evacuation and sheltering operations by sounding horns.

Special attention was paid to evacuations from high-rise buildings and critical facilities.

All events were evaluated positively and contributed to increasing the readiness of the responding forces, developing the tactical thinking of the command staff and strengthening cooperation between communities and organizations.
