Rescue service conducted exercises and training sessions throughout the Republic

The Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs consistently implemented measures to improve the mechanisms for protecting the population in emergency situations, raise public awareness and develop the professional skills of rescuers.

In order to move from theory to practice, the Regional Rescue Departments of the Rescue Service conducted special tactical exercises throughout the Republic, focusing on real scenarios. In particular, firefighting operations were organized at various facilities: educational institutions, fire-explosive areas, shopping centers, industrial facilities. Training sessions were held on the rapid deployment of firefighting equipment, the development of evacuation scenarios and the improvement of first aid skills.

The purpose of the exercises was not only to improve the professional skills of rescuers, but also to increase the readiness of the personnel of these facilities, which will contribute to the implementation of rapid and coordinated actions in emergency situations.

Training sessions on correct behavior in emergency situations were also held in schools, kindergartens and other educational institutions, in particular, on the codes of conduct during and after floods, warning signals, safety measures in case of an earthquake, the procedure for sheltering in case of an “Air-raid" warning siren, firefighting rules, etc.

At the end of the training sessions, thematic flyers were distributed to the participants.

The regional rescue departments alongside the community administrations, organized top-table exercises, focusing on such emergency situations as strong earthquakes, epidemic threats and other natural disasters.
Special attention was paid to the organization of firefighting operations in forests and specially protected nature areas. The demonstration exercises included awareness-raising about the damage due to grassland burning in fields and gardens and the importance of its prevention, aimed at ensuring environmental safety and protecting communities.

The exercises conducted by the Rescue Service increase the preparedness and awareness of the population, ensuring an effective response in emergency situations.
