Rescue Service conducted a special tactical firefighting exercise at one of the shopping and entertainment centers

A special tactical exercise titled "Organization and implementation of firefighting activities in a shopping and entertainment center" was held at one of the shopping and entertainment centers in Kotayk Province.

The event was carried out by a subunit of Yerevan City Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RA.

As part of the exercise, a live scenario was simulated: a "Fire" alarm sounded through the alert system and loudspeakers, followed by the immediate evacuation of the center's staff and visitors to a safe zone.

The rescue teams immediately proceeded to the reconnaissance phase — identifying the source of the fire, the paths of fire spread, the locations of endangered persons and possible rescue routes, as well as the presence of toxic and flammable materials. Combat deployment was carried out simultaneously with reconnaissance.

A distinctive element of the exercise was the rescuers' actions in a high-rise smoke-filled zone: casualties found on the roof were evacuated using an aerial ladder and ropes, after which the medical unit immediately provided first aid.

Upon completion of the exercise, a detailed debriefing was conducted with both the participating personnel and the center's management. All tasks assigned to the unit were assessed as completed, and the exercise as a whole received a rating of "good."
