From December 12 to 16 Syunik, Gegharkunik and Tavush Regional Rescue Departments of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs hosted regional representatives and volunteers of the Armenian Red Cross Society.

The representatives of the Red Cross participated in professional seminars and trainings, where civil defense issues specific to the regions, effective measures for protecting the population in emergency situations and directions of bilateral cooperation were discussed.

Within the framework of the visits, the rescuers presented to the volunteers the features of special property and equipment used in emergency situations, technical capabilities and emergency response mechanisms.

The volunteers also learned about the working process, technical potential and emergency response system of the crisis management centers of the regional rescue departments.

Such meetings are aimed at strengthening and expanding cooperation between the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Armenian Red Cross Society. The experience exchange and planning of joint activities contribute to strengthening the public security system and ensuring effective response to emergency situations.
