Reminder to citizens: it is a fire-prone period in the forests. Follow the rules — protect nature!

July 29 • 09:47, 2025

Dear Citizens,

We would like to remind you that the period from June 1 to September 30 is considered fire-prone in forested areas.

We kindly urge you to be especially vigilant, responsible, and attentive in order to prevent the outbreak of forest fires together.

Please follow these simple but important tips:

  • Do not throw burning matches or unextinguished cigarette butts on the ground.
  • Do not light fires in unauthorized areas.
  • Clean up the surroundings from bottles and glass shards, as they can focus sunlight and cause fires.
  • Do not leave flammable materials or cloths soaked with flammable liquids in the area.
  • Always make sure the fire is completely extinguished before leaving the forest.
  • Do not burn dry grass or hay near forested areas, except during controlled burnings.

Immediately call the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at 911 in case of any situation posing a risk of forest fire.

Remember, the forest is not just nature—it is our national treasure, and safety is a priority.
