Regular training for rescuers was completed

From March 10 to 12, the Training Center of the RS Crisis Management Training Departments of the Educational Complex of the Ministry of Internal Affairs organized and conducted a 24-hour training on "Organization and implementation of rescue activities in an environment unsuitable for breathing", in which 15 rescuers from the Yerevan and Regional Rescue Departments participated.

The training consisted of both theoretical and practical phases, aimed at improving the professional skills of rescue service personnel in conducting rescue activities in environment unsuitable for breathing, as well as familiarizing them with innovative methods.

During the theoretical training, rescuers were introduced to methodological guidelines for organizing operations in environment unsuitable for breathing, methods for conducting fire reconnaissance in hazardous areas, the structure of compressed air self-contained breathing apparatus, their inspection, operational safety rules, maintenance, calculations for checking the air pressure in cylinders and issues related to ensuring the safety of gas and smoke protection units at fire sites.

Special attention was given to the practical part of the training, during which participants had the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice.

Specifically, during the practical exercises, participants, as part of the smoke protection unit, organized and carried out movements in confined and hazardous areas using compressed air self-contained breathing apparatus, as well as conducted rescue activities in environment unsuitable for breathing.

During conducting rescue activities in environment unsuitable for breathing, proper planning and the use of specialized equipment are crucial to ensure that rescuers can safely enter hazardous areas while also securing their own safety and that of others. The rescuers not only enhance their theoretical knowledge but also acquire essential skills for working with specialized equipment and technology in such training sessions. These skills enable them to effectively carry out their duties without being hindered by the dangers of the environment.

Upon the successful completion of the training, participants were awarded certification diplomas.
