On October 30, the emergency calls were received to 112 Operative Management Center of the MIA that flooding caused by heavy rain had occurred throughout the Republic specifically in Avan administrative district of Yerevan and at several locations in Kotayk province.

The fire units from Fire and Rescue Squads of Yerevan and Regional Rescue Departments,  the rescue group of the Center for Carrying out Activities of Special Importance of Rescue Forces Department of the Rescue Service of MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

At these various scenes, the rescuers used motor-driven pumps to drain the water removing a total of approximately 27 tons while also maintaining a presence at the scenes until municipal utility services arrived.
