On February 26, at 21:28 an emergency call was received to Crisis Management National Center that car had been on fire near the crossroad of Bagratunyats Avenue and Chekhov Street in Yerevan city.

Two fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Yerevan Rescue Department and the duty group of the Management Division for Firefighting and Rescue Activities of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that “Opel” (driver D. V.) and “Volvo” (driver A. B.) cars had collided, as a result of which “Opel” car ran off the roadway, appeared on a pavement and caught fire. The driver and the passenger P. G. of “Opel” car were hospitalized to a medical center.

The fire was localized at 21:53 and extinguished at 21:59. “Opel” car burnt, the nearby newspaper stand (partially) and coffee machine (partially) heatstroke.
