The use of UAVs in rescue operations is expanding day by day: UAVs have become an effective and indispensable tool in search operations in difficult-to-pass areas, public awareness and the delivery of necessary supplies to casualties.

The pupils from "Gavar Basic School No. 5" SNCO were hosted by Gegharkunik Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA for a familiarization visit within the framework of "UAVs in the field of rescue operations" topic.

The pupils were introduced to the use of devices in search and rescue operations in difficult-to-pass forest, mountain and water areas, as well as in quickly informing the population and transferring necessary supplies to casualties. As an example, the possibility of delivering a lifebelt to a drowning citizen using a UAV was presented.

After the training, the pupils were introduced to the methods and capabilities of operating UAVs in practice.

The similar educational events will be held regularly aiming to introduce the younger generation to modern rescue technologies and the rules of safe behavior in emergency situations.
