Professional development of rescuers remains a priority for the Ministry of Internal Affairs
The primary mission of the Rescue Service included reducing disaster risk, population protection and material assets during emergency situations, as well as implementing recovery operations. The Ministry of Internal Affairs highly emphasized the continuous development of rescuers' professional capabilities in order to ensure the effective implementation of this important mission, while simultaneously introducing modern and targeted mechanisms for evaluating and monitoring this process.
One of the key initiatives in this direction was the regular qualification process for the staff of the Yerevan Rescue Department, which was organized and implemented in accordance with the established schedule and procedures.
During the qualification process, rescuers' professional knowledge, practical skills, experience and situational decision-making abilities were assessed. The process was conducted in line with the core principles of fairness and objectivity.
This qualification process contributes not only to enhancing the capabilities of individual staff members but also to strengthening the institutional stability and operational effectiveness of the entire system.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs will continue to take consistent steps toward the development of the potential of the Rescue Service, the revision of professional standards and the improvement of qualification procedures, with the aim of forming a reliable and highly prepared system in line with modern requirements, which will work for the public effectively.
