Personnel training, population awareness, increased resilience in emergency situations: the activities conducted by the Rescue Service are ongoing

The Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs regularly conducts special tactical training exercises, drills and seminars in order to develop the population's ability to respond quickly in emergency situations in Yerevan and the regions.

The Fire and Rescue Squads conducted training sessions in schools on emergency etiquette and reporting. Participants were provided with disaster etiquette guidebooks and flyers.

Special tactical exercises were conducted in community centers, hotel complexes, educational institutions, as well as fire and explosion-hazardous facilities.

The purpose of the exercises was to develop the professional knowledge and practical skills of the staff.

The exercises on "Warning the population, sheltering and evacuating in case of an "Air-raid" warning siren" were held in the regions. During meetings with residents, the necessary rules of conduct in emergency situations were presented.

Special headquarters exercises were held: issues of organizing the protection of the population in case of a possible collapse of the reservoir dam were discussed.

Top-table exercises were conducted with the heads of the headquarters of regional administrations and community population protection services on the evacuation of the population and material assets from dangerous areas and the organization of the livelihood of the population.

The Rescue Service units also conducted seminars and training courses with staff from commercial companies, business centers, preschools and nurseries.

The field exercises were conducted at factories and medical centers to organize the operational evacuation of employees and visitors in emergency situations.

The various events regularly held by the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs contribute to the training of personnel, awareness of the population and increased resilience in emergency situations.
