Personnel of the Rescue Service of MIA participated in a training on domestic violence
On September 22 and 23, the 911 operators of the Crisis Management National Center of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, along with psychologists from the Psychological Assistance and Medical Care Provision Department, participated in a training organized by the “Democracy Today” NGO and the “Danner” Foundation.
The training was titled “Violence Against Women: Trauma-Informed Care and Conversation Techniques” and aimed to present the forms of domestic violence, mechanisms for identifying abuse, principles of support for survivors, and modern methods of communication.
Through practical sessions and group discussions, participants had the opportunity to develop professional skills for communicating with and supporting individuals affected by violence.
An exchange of experience also took place with representatives from the Police, Migration and Citizenship Service, Ministry of Defense, as well as various NGOs.
The training was conducted by Karen Boesen, an experienced specialist invited from Denmark. At the end of the event, participants were awarded certificates.
Such initiatives aimed at improving the preparedness of the Rescue Service personnel are especially valuable in work with socially vulnerable groups.
The Rescue Service of MIA will continue its cooperation with specialized institutions and organizations to provide more effective support during emergency situations.
