On February 15, at 14։07 an emergency call was received to Gegharkunik Regional Crisis Management Center that explosion had occurred in a church on Momchyan Street in Martuni town: there was one casualty: the rescuers' help was needed.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that an explosion occurred in a building adjacent to the church (20 square meters), as a result the building’s entrance door and window panes were damaged.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the church’s priest G. B. (born 1974) had been hospitalized in a medical center.

The rescuers cut off the power to the building and blocked off the scene.
