With the aim of enhancing rapid response effectiveness during emergencies and improving the ability to organize rescue operations, the Educational Complex of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia regularly organizes and conducts specialized trainings.

From April 21 to 23, a training on "Organization and implementation of high-altitude rescue operations in accordance with INSARAG guidelines" was held. The purpose of the training was to strengthen the skills of rescue service personnel in conducting operations at heights and to reinforce rescue procedures in line with international standards.

The training was attended by rescue service members from various regions of Armenia, including firefighters, team leaders and unit commanders.

Through interactive discussions and both theoretical and practical sessions, participants were introduced to INSARAG guidelines, core requirements and responsibilities for Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams, types and purposes of rope knots, and instructions for the use of relevant equipment and tools.

Special attention was paid on ascent and descent techniques, particularly on ensuring both group and individual safety during these operations, as well as on the angular and vertical transportation of casualties using alpine equipment and methods.

The training enabled participants to improve their decision-making skills in various emergency scenarios. Additionally, they had the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice by testing specialized equipment on-site.

This training marked an important step in enhancing the professional preparedness of rescue teams and significantly contributed to improving their ability to carry out effective and safe rescue operations in high-rise buildings.
