According to the data from the Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Environment, currently there is an intensification of wind in several regions of the Republic, including Syunik, Gegharkunik, Lori, Kotayk, and Aragatsotn provinces, with wind speeds reaching up to 17-20 m/s, which in some areas is causing blizzard.
It is expected that the wind intensification will continue until the evening hours of February 27.
The duty groups of the Rescue Service and the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are operating around-the-clock, monitoring the roads and ensuring the safety of citizens.
The rescuers are conducting patrols and duties at problematic road sections, ensuring a quick response to all emergency situations and being ready to provide assistance at any moment. If necessary, they will pull stuck vehicles and tow them, as well as move citizens to safe areas.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminds:
- Travel exclusively with winter tires and stay extra vigilant.
- Stay informed through official sources about weather changes and road conditions.
