On May 20, Gegharkunik Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service RA MIA implemented the man-made rock removal activities on the right-hand section of the 76th km of Yerevan-Sevan-Dilijan roadway.

The purpose of the event was to reduce the risk of possible rockfall on the roadway and ensure traffic flow safety. As a result of the actions, about 40 cubic meters of rock mass was removed from the dangerous section of the road.

The rescuers of the Fire and Rescue Squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs were involved in the activities, specialized technical means were used for the man-made removal of dangerous rock masses.
