In connection with the gas explosion, the Ministries of Internal Affairs and of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure jointly implemented the necessary actions arising from the situation had occurred at 4 Tigran Mets Street in Chambarak town.

At the interdepartmental level, with the involvement of regional and community authorities, activities were conducted in various priority areas. These included assessing the needs of the residents of the  building, providing necessary medicine, food and shelter if needed, addressing the consequences of the accident and other critical tasks.

About 230 rescuers and police officers were involved in the search and rescue operations at the scene led by the Director of RS-Deputy Minister of IA Kamo Tsutsulyan.

The search and rescue operations are continuing intensively.
