Meetings aimed at strengthening the relationship between the Ministry of IA and the public are focused on establishing constructive dialogue: the Minister of IA met with representatives of civil society
On November 29, the Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan met with fifty representatives of civil society with the aim of strengthening the relationship between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the public.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Ministers of Internal Affairs Armen Ghazaryan, Chief of Police Aram Hovhannisyan and Director of the Rescue Service Kamo Tsutsulyan.
Welcoming the attendees, Arpine Sargsyan highlighted the importance of such meetings being participatory and inclusive, as well as the need for communication and constructive dialogue with civil society organizations regarding the ongoing reforms.
"Institutional solutions are those that yield results in the long term, but they are necessary and vital. Our logic is that, yes, acknowledging that short-term solutions are situational, they must be implemented as such. However, parallelly, the focus should be more on institutional solutions, so that the mechanism remains stable and both the Ministry and the public can achieve much more positive outcomes within the framework of practical activities in the future", said Arpine Sargsyan.
The participants of the meeting raised a number of issues regarding the work of the Ministry and its subordinate services that were of concern to the public.
At the end of the meeting, Arpine Sargsyan emphasized the importance of continuous work and professional meetings on various reform areas, highlighting the potential for pooling resources during joint discussions.
