The man-made rockfall operations were implemented at the 143rd km of RA border M-4 interstate highway (Yerevan–Sevan–Ijevan section) to ensure traffic safety.

The rock fragments hanging from the slope adjacent to the road posed a danger to motorists.

On September 18, the rock fragments were removed through the joint efforts of Tavush Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA, Ijevan Municipality and the road maintenance company, thereby preventing potentially dangerous consequences.
