The Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducts extensive awareness campaigns every year to prevent fires and avoid their potentially devastating consequences.

The awareness efforts focus particularly on recreational areas, forests, and forest-adjacent territories, where the number of visitors is significantly higher.

Especially on hot and windy days, the following are prohibited:

✅ Burning dry grass and household waste;
✅ Throwing away unextinguished cigarette butts;
✅ Lighting campfires in forests, forest-adjacent areas, and vegetation-covered territories;
✅ If a campfire has been lit in a designated area, make sure it is completely extinguished before leaving.
