Lori, Kotayk and Aragatsotn Regional Rescue Departments of the Rescue Service of MIA summarized the civil defense activities

The civil defense is of vital importance both in emergency situations and in mitigating the natural disasters results, ensuring the safety of citizens. All measures aimed at improving the level of civil protection are crucial for every citizen.

Lori, Kotayk and Aragatsotn Regional Rescue Departments and its subordinate units of the Rescue Service of MIA conducted a series of civil defense activities to enhance public preparedness and awareness in case of emergencies and other threats.

The special tactical training sessions of “Sheltering in Case of an “Air Raid” warning siren” were organized and conducted in Vanadzor schools No. 8 and No. 27, Pambak Basic School, Dzoramut and Stepanavan Secondary School No. 3 of Lori province.

Additionally, special tactical trainings were conducted on “Warning, evacuation and sheltering Measures in case of a sudden enemy attack or threat of attack” in Vanadzor School No. 8 and the secondary school of Mets Parni of Lori province, as well as in Ashtarak Secondary School No. 2, Aparan Secondary School No. 2, Proshyan School No. 3, Kaniashir Basic School, Nigavan and Berkarrat Secondary Schools, as well as Talin Secondary School No. 2 and High School of Aragatsotn Province.

Highlighting the necessity of equipping the population with relevant theoretical knowledge, lectures were held in public educational institutions across various settlements, including Chkalov, Vanadzor, Tumanyan, Alaverdi, Tashir, Spitak, and Lori Berd communities in Lori Province, in Abovyan, Jrvezh, Byureghavan, Nor Hachn, Charentsavan, and Hrazdan communities in Kotayk Province, as well as in Ashtarak, Aparan, Alagyaz, Talin, and Tsaghkashovit communities in Aragatsotn Province. These lectures on “March 1 as the International Civil Protection Day”, “Rules of Conduct in Case of an “Air-raid|” warning siren” and “Warning sirens”.

Such lectures contribute to the enhancement of public education and the dissemination of awareness about the importance of civil defense, which is essential for ensuring the proper response in emergency situations.
