In 2025, the international community celebrated the 20th anniversary of the certification system for International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG) standards. In this context, a writing was prepared at the initiative of the Hungarian Search and Rescue Team, which also highlights the Armenian Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team.

Specifically, the writing presents the activity carried out by Armenian rescuers in the earthquake-affected areas of Turkey, the experience gained and the importance of collaboration with other teams. This was both a major challenge and a significant achievement for the Armenian team.

It is worth noting that urban search and rescue teams undergo reclassification every five years to confirm their compliance with the new international methodology for search and rescue operations in line with INSARAG standards.

The next reclassification of the Armenian team is scheduled for 2027.
