On May 24, at 21։27 an emergency call was received to Lori Regional Crisis Management Center that landslide had occurred at the 41st km of Vanadzor-Alaverdi roadway: the rescuers’ help was needed.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that landslide of about 25 meters long and about 3 meters wide occurred on the roadside section at the 42nd km of Vanadzor-Alaverdi roadway, damaging one lane of the roadway. At the moment, there were cracks and a risk of double landslide. The roadway was one-way closed. The rescuers blocked off the scene and police patrol officers restricted traffic flow.
