On July 19, at 19:14 an emergency call was received to Gegharkunik Regional Crisis Management Center that two citizens had been navigating Lake Sevan in a rubber boat near the Artanish settlement and had not returned.

Extensive search and rescue operations were carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Rescue Service and the Water Patrol Service.

After several hours of searching, it was discovered that the citizens had safely returned in their rubber boat and were located near the shoreline of Jil village. There was no threat to their lives.
