The warning systems of a reservoir, mechanisms for assessing the seismic condition of dams, safety measures procedures... On March 5, a working discussion was held at the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs chaired by the Director of RS - Deputy Minister of IA Aram Ghazaryan.

The representatives of the Rescue Service, the Seismological Network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service, 112 Operative Management Center, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, the researchers and other specialists of the field participated.

Stressing the relevance of the issue, Aram Ghazaryan noted that the safe operation of reservoirs requires constant monitoring, assessment of technical condition and continuous safety control.

Speaking about the design materials of reservoir dams and the regulatory requirements for their operation, the RS Director noted the safe operation of reservoirs requires new scientific and applied solutions and restoration work.

Aram Ghazaryan highlighted the importance of the regular tours and studies conducted by rescuers in the areas of reservoirs, as well as cooperation with interested bodies and the scientific community. An agreement was reached to make discussions in such a format continuous in order to outline joint solutions to the issues raised.

The participants in the discussion presented the condition of the reservoirs, safety measures procedures and risks for future safe operation.
