According to the Center for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring of the Ministry of Environment, in the evening of May 4 and in the coming days, a significant rise in water levels is expected in the basins of a number of rivers across the country (Arpa, Yeghegis, Hrazdan, Marmarik, Vedi) due to thunderstorm precipitation. Dangerous water flows and flooding of riverside areas are possible, particularly in the Areni–Yeghegnadzor–Vayk, Hrazdan, Hankavan, Aghavnadzor, and Urtsadzor sections. By order of the Minister of Internal Affairs, awareness-raising activities have been organized, the responsible units of the Ministry have established contact with partner structures, and rescue units have switched to emergency service mode.
