On December 8, a workshop dedicated to civil defense issues was held at the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in which representatives of state and local government bodies participated.

Director of RS - Deputy Minister of IA Kamo Tsutsulyan expressing his gratitude to the attendees for the effective cooperation, emphasized that regular meetings in an interdepartmental format provide an opportunity to jointly analyze sectoral issues and develop systemic solutions.

According to Kamo Tsutsulyan, the meeting focused on the continuous improvement of the civil defense system, strengthening institutional capabilities and increasing the efficiency of the operational component, thanks to which a new quality will be ensured in the field of security and protection of the population.
Representatives of the Civil Defense Department of the Rescue Service of RA MIA and Yerevan Municipality made reports.

Issues related to increasing the effectiveness of organizing civil defense preparatory measures in Armenia, expanding cooperation between the involved structures and improving population awareness mechanisms were discussed.

The areas of digitalization of databases, implementation of interdepartmental plans and development of management system capacities were also discussed.

Presenting the programs implemented by them, representatives of the departments addressed the existing issues and recommended the solutions.

The agreement was reached to continue cooperation aimed at improving the civil defense system, developing effective public awareness mechanisms and expanding the capacities to assist the population.
