Improving first response skills: a focus of the Rescue Service of MIA

From July 2 to 25, specialists from the Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Situation Monitoring Division and the Man-Made Accidents Division of the Population Protection and Disaster Risk Reduction Department of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs organized and conducted professional training courses in Regional Rescue Departments of Aragatsotn, Armavir, Ararat, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor, and Gegharkunik provinces.

The courses were held in the form of seminars and lectures aimed at improving the professional skills and safety levels of the population protection units and first responders in the regional subdivisions.

During the training, participants studied various topics including radiation and nuclear awareness, radiation, chemical, and biological risks in Armenia, types of personal protective equipment, and decontamination methods.

Such events are designed to strengthen the capabilities of the Rescue Service to ensure preparedness and effective response to emergencies of various kinds.
