Helping people in difficult life situations is a virtue. The mission of a rescuer is to save, to reach out to those in need. Perhaps it was precisely the desire to be useful to society that led Vahe Ghazaryan to the Rescue Service.

"My parents were against it, especially my father didn’t want me to do this job. I kept telling them that I love this work. Now, even they are convinced that I was right", said Vahe Ghazaryan.
Vahe was from Brnakot village of Sisian. He is a financier by profession, but he doesn't always agree with numbers. As he emphasized, being a rescuer driver is truly close to his heart.

"When you help people and they thank you, you realize you're doing something good. I love my job".

The commander of the fire and rescue squad of the Syunik Regional Rescue Department, r/s Lieutenant Colonel Garik Hovsepyan said that r/s Sergeant Ghazaryan is a conscientious employee. He was not satisfied with just performing his duties as a driver. When called, he tries to be helpful to his fellow servicemen in every way possible. "He has always participated in difficult and serious cases. He has repeatedly shown activity both in rescue operations and as a driver: he tries to be useful to his fellow servants in every possible way during the emergency call. Garik Hovsepyan recalled that Vahe Ghazaryan stayed at the scene all night, helping people stranded in the blizzard during a snowstorm last year.

"Due to heavy snowfall and the blizzard, there was a major traffic jam on Gorayk-Zanger roadway. Vahe was one of the drivers who immediately started his engine and headed to the scene. He worked all night without complaining, without showing any sign of frustration", Garik Hovsepyan recalled.

Vahe Ghazaryan said that the moment of the emergency call, he forgot everything else. The only thought on his mind was to quickly and safely get the team to the scene and help those in need.

It was precisely this sense of readiness and conscientious attitude toward his service that earned him the title of Best Rescuer-Driver of 2024. According to him, being recognized as the best rescuer-driver of the year was not just an honor but also a responsibility. He was happy that even his parents had come to see that he made the right choice.

The Best Rescuer-Driver of 2024 was not afraid of life's difficulties. He believed that good deeds never go unanswered—they come back, like a boomerang. He says he’s content with life, but he will be perfectly happy when he has a son.
