Regarding flooding caused by heavy rain on September 13
From 21:30 on September 13 to 00:59 on September 14, 65 emergency calls were received to Crisis Management National Center of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia that incidents and accidents (short circuit of electrical wires, blockage of flood pipes and manholes, flooding) had occurred due to heavy rain.
26 cases were registered in Yerevan city, particularly in different administrative districts of Yerevan city as follows: 1 in Avan, 1 in Malatia-Sebastia, 18 in Kentron, 1 in Kanaker-Zeytun, 4 in Nor Nork, 1 in Nork-Marash, as well as 1 in Ararat province.
The drainage activities were carried out in 6 cases. The rescuers conducted water drainage from a number of addresses: about 228 tons of water were removed.
8 vehicles were pulled out of the stuck.
26 fire units, 5 motor pumps and 99 rescuers took part in the actions of removing flooded and stuck cars.
The emergency calls were forwarded to relevant services as needed. There were no casualties or victims.
The actions were led by the Director of the Rescue Service-Deputy Ministry of Internal Affairs, r/s Major General Kamo Tsutsulyan.
