On March 9, at 15:11, an emergency call was received to Ararat Crisis Management Center that grassland had been on fire in Shahumyan village.

Two fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of MIA of RA dispatched to the scene. 

It turned out that the fire broke out in the intermediate land areas between the villages of Shahumyan and Pokr Vedi.

The fire was localized at 15:54 and extinguished at 19:35. Reed burnt.
